"David had a very vivid imagination. When he was 3 years old and I was correcting him about something he had done, he looked up at me with those big blue eyes and said "Mom, someday when you are little like me you'll understand." My heart melted and the scolding ended. As David grew up he always liked the finer things in life. He enjoyed nice clothes and always wanted name brands. These last few years he loved Tommy Hilfiger and had Tommy Hil clothes, linens, etc. One day about three years ago, I got a phone call from David. He said, "Mom, I need to tell |

you something." I could tell by his voice that I'd better brace myself. Then he told me he was buying a red 1985 Corvette. I just about dropped the phone. My first thought was how much the insurance cost. Moms are so sensible. David's explanation was, "Mom, I've wanted this car all my life." I thought, "David, I'm a lot older than you and have wanted things all my life that I don't have." He told me, "Oh Mom, you just don't know what this car means to me." David took me riding around in the Corvette and I have to admit it was special. He truly enjoyed having that car."
"These are a few of my special memories of David." "He is missed so much by his family and so many friends."

couch watching tv, or dinkin around on the computer, and of course....listening to music which we both loved. He had a wonderful voice, and I loved to hear him sing. Upon leaving this building, Ken reached in his pocket and grabbed some coins and put them in a skittles candy machine, got a whole handful, and we left walking hand in hand munching on skittles and just enjoying our time together. I will remember it always...always. Along with his smile that lit up a room, made a dark day seem brighter somehow."
"I miss you Darling, you will always be a part of me." |

"Ken and I often did spur of the moment things like taking a walk around the lake, going and grabbing some mexican food, and just going for a ride and seeing the country side. This particular day we went to downtown Olympia, and went into a historic building. We walked around and it was fascinating, taking you back in time. We held hands and just thorougly enjoyed being together, it was just him and I in this building. After a few moments upstairs, he turned to me and out of the blue said, "Cori, I just love being with you, I am so comfortable with you, it is kind of wierd, I've never felt like this with someone." I of course ate up the words savored them and told him the same, because it was true. It didn't matter what we did, even sitting on the |

"My Dad loved to laugh. He loved telling jokes and he did it rather well. He had a really great laugh and a smile that would light up a room. He was normally pretty quiet except when he had heard a really funny joke, then he was in his glory. He enjoyed a good laugh. He also loved working with his hands and made many things from wood. He made lots of decorations for their (my parents) home. He usually found something he liked and made them for Christmas presents for his siblings and his mom. He made little knick-knacks as well as a number of functional items. He also had a passion for birds. He hung several hummingbird feeders every year and had a Martin house. He always seem to get at least 3 - 4 pair of birds every year. He also made bird houses from old gourds and had them all over the yard. When the kids and I spent the night there in the summer time it was great to wake up to sound of all the different birds.

Yet still another passion of his was his 1966 Ford F100 pickup truck. He restored this truck by himself except for the paint job. He loved that old truck! Its mine now, not quite in its glory, but I am trying to keep it going. I remember so many good times with my Dad. He used to take me fishing alot. And we went on a family vacation every year. It didn't matter that they really couldn't afford it. We went anyway. He was a good man with a lot to offer. I miss him so much. He was the greatest Dad a girl could ever have."
